National Cat Day According to Piper, Coco, and Tinkerbell

“Cats don’t need National Cat Day. They already celebrate themselves daily.”

-This Puzzled Life

Light the charcoal. Sprinkle the sage. Hide the breakables. Because on National Cat Day, my three furry dependents, Piper, Coco, and Tinkerbell, believe they are entitled to diplomatic immunity, tax-free treats, and a parade down the hallway complete with confetti made from shredded toilet paper. My household has already turned into a feline-led congressional hearing with zero decorum and unlimited snacks.

I woke up this morning thinking, “Let’s celebrate my cats.” My cats woke up thinking, “Let’s overthrow the government.” Check out our conversation.

Me: Alright, y’all. It’s National Cat Day. Let’s act right.

Piper: (leans in like she’s about to deliver breaking news) “I’ll act right when you act right.”

Coco: “I would like to file a grievance.”

Tinkerbell: “I would like a sunbeam, a soft blanket, and silence.”

Me: “What’s the grievance, Coco?”

Coco: “You breathed too loud this morning. It disrupted my REM cycle.”

Piper: “And you moved the pillow on the couch. Without consulting the board.”

Tinkerbell: “I don’t care about any of this. I just want my treats delivered away from these two feral raccoons.”

Me: “It’s National Cat Day. Can we please celebrate peacefully?”

Piper: “I need to call the family therapist.”

Me: “For what?”

Piper: “For the trauma of living with you.”

Coco: “And for the trauma of living with Piper.”

Tinkerbell: “And for the trauma of thunder.”

Me: “Can we at least take a cute picture for National Cat Day?”

Piper: “I don’t perform for free.”

Coco: “I need a contract.”

Tinkerbell: “I’ll do it if you promise Coco won’t breathe on me.”

Me: “Fine. Let’s just celebrate. I’ll give y’all extra treats.”

Piper: “I want mine plated.”

Coco: “I want mine thrown like confetti.”

Tinkerbell: “I want mine delivered like room service at a five-star spa.”

Me: “Y’all are exhausting.”

Piper: “And yet… you adore us.”

Coco: “You’re welcome.”

Tinkerbell: “Bless your heart.”

And that, my friends, is how National Cat Day goes in my house: Piper calling emergency press conferences about absolutely nothing. Coco filing grievances like she works for HR in Hell. Tinkerbell floating through the chaos like a tiny feline Brene Brown who has transcended earthly nonsense.

I tried to celebrate them. They celebrated themselves. I tried to honor them. They honored their own drama. I tried to give them treats. They demanded reparations. So here’s my official National Cat Day statement: I live with three furry dictators who run this house like a chaotic Southern monarchy, and I wouldn’t trade them for all the peace, quiet, and sanity in the world. Let the ancestors deal with the rest. Thanks for reading!

Affirmation: I honor the chaos. Embrace the fur. And accept that my cats are the landlords and I am simply the tenant.

Light the Charcoal, America: Our Bisexual President Just Hit on a Microphone Again

“Authenticity is fabulous. Chaos is optional. Microphones are not for kissing.”

 -The Gay Ancestors

Light the charcoal. Light the rainbows. Light the disgrace. Light the incense because the gay ancestors are about to perform a spiritual intervention. Today, we gather to discuss President Donald J. Trump. The first bisexual president in American history. And unfortunately, the first president to confuse a press conference with a Pride afterparty. A microphone with a consenting adult. And the Lincoln Memorial with a man he met on Grindr in 2009.

Harvey Milk is pacing like a disappointed dad at a PTA meeting. Marsha P. Johnson is shaking her head so hard her flower crown is slipping. Sylvia Rivera is already halfway out the door to “handle it.” Stormé DeLarverie is cracking her knuckles. Miss Major is sipping her tea muttering, “This ain’t the representation we fought for.” Even the rainbow flag has filed for FMLA.

Let’s be honest. The queer community wanted a bisexual president. We deserved a bisexual president. We manifested a bisexual president. But what we got was Donald Trump. A man in his death‑bed‑confession era who’s wandering around the White House like a bisexual Forrest Gump with dementia. And saying things that make even the microphones ask for hazard pay.

The Bisexual Behaviors That Have Us Mortified

1. The Microphone Incident During a press briefing Donald leaned in. Puckered up. And gave the microphone the kind of attention usually reserved for a Pride weekend hookup. Piper walked out of the room whispering, “I can’t watch this man commit felonies against audio equipment.”

2. The “Sir, Your Ass Is a National Treasure” Moment Coco still hasn’t recovered. She said, “I was licking my paw. Minding my business. And suddenly he’s complimenting a reporter’s butt like he’s judging a drag pageant.”

3. The Secret Service Seduction Tinkerbell reports, “He winked at Agent Rodriguez so hard he sprained his eyelid. They had to call medical.” Stormé DeLarverie is somewhere whispering, “I should’ve been president.”

4. The ‘Daddy’ Debacle Donald called the Speaker of the House “Daddy” on live television. Harvey Milk fainted. Marsha P. Johnson threw her purse.

5. The Lincoln Memorial Comment He said, “Lincoln has big top energy.” Sylvia Rivera screamed into a throw pillow.

6. The Bicurious Budget Meeting He told the Joint Chiefs, “We need to cut spending. But not on men’s underwear ads.” Miss Major simply stood up and left the room.

The community’s reaction included drag queens have issued a formal statement titled: “We Do Not Claim This Man.” Bisexuals everywhere are filing emotional damage claims. Grindr has banned the entire ZIP code of Washington, D.C. The rainbow flag has taken a personal day and refuses to return until further notice. The gay ancestors have formed a committee called The Council of Queer Disappointment. Even the cats have opinions.

  • Piper: “He’s giving chaotic Gemini energy and I don’t like it.”
  • Coco: “I’ve seen hairballs with more dignity.”
  • Tinkerbell: “He needs to be put in a time‑out with no glitter.”

So here we stand, America. Under the leadership of a man who treats microphones like romantic partners. Flirts with monuments. And confesses bisexual thoughts like he’s reading slam poetry at a nursing home talent show. We wanted a bisexual president who embodied authenticity, courage, and queer brilliance. We wanted a leader who honored the legacy of Harvey, Marsha, Sylvia, Stormé, Miss Major, and every ancestor who fought for liberation.

Instead, we got Donald Trump. A bisexual fever dream wrapped in dementia‑era confessionals. Wandering the halls of the White House asking men if they “work out their glutes.” The gay ancestors have spoken. “This is not our king. This is a chaotic bisexual raccoon in a suit.” And honestly they’re right.

So let this be a lesson to America. If you’re going to elect a bisexual president, make sure he’s not in his confused‑grandpa‑thirst‑trap era. Giving microphones a blow job. And calling political leaders “Daddy.” As well as being a power bottom for a Russian dictator and an Israeli prime minister. Because representation matters. And this representation has us hiding behind throw pillows. Clutching pearls and whispering, “Not like this, Lord. Not like this.” Glitter explosion. Cats judging silently. To our fellow family members in the LGBTQIA+ community, I am so sorry this is the example of our first gay president. Go VOTE!!!

Affirmation: I am glittery. Grounded. Guided by ancestors who know better. And protected from chaotic bisexual presidents by the power of rainbow boundaries.

If You Need a Hat to Think, You’re in a Cult

“Cults don’t ask you to think. They ask you to obey.”

-This Puzzled Life

Light the charcoal. Sprinkle something. Invoke the ancestors the expired gas‑station incense, the broken Happy Meal toy, and whatever that sticky thing is in the back of my junk drawer. Oh, and also the random items I found under my car seat. Today, I’m talking about cults. The religious ones, the political ones, the ones that swear they’re “just patriots,” and the ones that swear they’re “just doing God’s work.” While simultaneously hoarding power like it’s Halloween candy in 1987.

Let me tell you something. Propaganda is a hell of a drug. Mind control doesn’t require a spaceship, a robe, or a Kool‑Aid packet. It just needs repetition, fear, and a leader who knows how to weaponize insecurity like a televangelist with a microphone and a mortgage. And the wildest part? Nobody in a cult thinks they’re in a cult. They think we’re the crazy ones because nothing screams “independent thinker” like repeating the same slogans every day until your personality evaporates.

Cults aren’t just fringe groups living in bunkers. They’re any system where critical thinking is discouraged. Loyalty is demanded. Dissent is punished. The leader is treated like a divine being. And the followers swear they’re “free thinkers” while marching in perfect formation. Sound familiar? Yeah. I think so too.

Signs Someone Is in a Cult

  • They repeat phrases that aren’t theirs.
  • They defend leaders they’ve never met.
  • They believe questioning equals betrayal.
  • They think outsiders are “dangerous.”
  • They rewrite reality to fit the narrative.
  • They treat ideology like religion.
  • They think their group is the only truth.
  • They believe the leader is infallible.
  • They demonize anyone who leaves.
  • They insist they’re not in a cult.

And here’s the kicker. The current political landscape is basically a cult wrapped tightly in Bible verses, corruption, and hypocrisy. With a bow made of fear‑mongering and merch sales. Meanwhile, anyone who opposes cult ideology gets labeled an extremist. Because nothing says “freedom” like calling people extremists for not wanting authoritarian cosplay.

10 Well‑Known Cult Leaders & Fascist Dictators Who Turned on Their Own Followers

  1. Jim Jones — Manipulated thousands, ended in tragedy. But sure, tell me again how “your leader would never lie to you.”
  2. Charles Manson — Convinced people he was a prophet. Nothing says “chosen one” like a man who couldn’t hold a job.
  3. David Koresh — Claimed divine authority, led followers to ruin. Ah yes, the original “I alone can fix it.”
  4. Adolf Hitler — Cult of personality turned catastrophic. Funny how “blind loyalty” never ends well.
  5. Benito Mussolini — Promised greatness, delivered disaster. Another man who loved speeches more than results.
  6. Joseph Stalin — Cult worship, paranoia, betrayal. Nothing like turning on your own people to really seal the legacy.
  7. Kim Jong‑il — Mythologized himself into near‑godhood. Imagine needing propaganda because reality isn’t flattering.
  8. Pol Pot — Claimed purity, delivered horror. “Trust me” the famous last words of every cult leader ever.
  9. Sun Myung Moon — Controlled marriages, money, and minds. But sure, tell me how “groupthink is freedom.”
  10. The modern MAGA movement — Built on loyalty tests, fear, and identity worship. If your political identity requires matching hats, chants, and unquestioning devotion, that’s not patriotism. That’s a cult with better branding. And you have modeled your whole personality after a serial diddler.

So, here’s the uncomfortable, emotional, sarcastic truth. If you side with a movement that demands loyalty over logic. Obedience over autonomy. And devotion over democracy. If you defend leaders who treat followers like disposable chess pieces. If you repeat slogans instead of forming thoughts. If you believe questioning authority is treason, you are in a cult. Not a church. Not a party. Not a movement. A cult. Cults don’t just steal your vote. They steal your identity. Your voice. And your ability to think for yourself.

But the ancestors told me to say this loudly. You can walk out. You can choose truth over theatrics. You can choose humanity over hero worship. You can choose freedom over fear. And if that makes me an extremist? Then hand me the badge. I’ll wear it proudly. Thanks for reading! And go see a therapist for deprogramming.

Affirmation: I trust my own mind, voice, and my  ability to see through manipulation. No matter how loudly the cult shouts.

The Genitals Administration: Now With Extra Hypocrisy

“Any government that talks more about genitals than healthcare is not protecting you. It’s projecting.”

-This Puzzled Life

Light the charcoal. Today, we are summoning every ancestor who ever clutched their pearls. Hid their good china. Or whispered, “Lord have mercy” when the preacher said something inappropriate. We are calling forth Aunt Magnolia, Uncle Rufus, Cousin Pearl-with-the-bad-attitude, and every ghost who ever lived through a scandal. But NOT the children and NOT the animals. Unless you want to work for the FBI. Because what we’re about to discuss is not fit for tender souls or creatures who rely on us for kibble. They don’t deserve this level of anatomical chaos.

Today, under the glow of Mississippi humidity and charcoal smoke, we gather to confront a national mystery so bizarre it deserves its own Netflix docuseries. Why is the current administration obsessed with genitals? Not healthcare. Not infrastructure. Not education. Not diplomacy. Nope. Just genitals. Your genitals. My genitals. Genitals they legislate, regulate, investigate, and allegedly crash Grindr with.

Ten Examples Of The Administration’s War On Genitals

1. Bathroom Legislation.

Some administrations build bridges. This one builds bathroom flowcharts. They’ve spent more time deciding who pees and poops where, rather than fixing anything that actually matters. My ancestors are pacing the spirit realm whispering, “Why are grown men so invested in toilets? Why are grown men spending more time thinking about where people pee and poop than fixing anything? If you’re this invested in toilets, go work at Home Depot.

2. The Historic Tradition of Grabbing People by the Genitals

A moment that will live in infamy. A moment that should’ve ended careers. A moment that instead became a personality trait. Sir, that is not a handshake. That is a felony.

3. The Grindr Crashes Heard Across the Nation They swear they’re “traditional.” They swear they’re “family values.” Yet somehow Grindr crashes every time a cabinet meeting ends. Coincidence? That ain’t coincidence. That’s congestion. And every time a Republican Convention gathers, Grindr goes down like it’s been hit by a cyberattack. Y’all keep saying ‘family values,’ but the server logs say, ‘thirsty chaos.’

4. The War on Trans Bodies

Bathroom bans. Sports bans. Medical bans. Everything except banning their own obsession with other people’s anatomy. My ancestors are lighting sage and muttering, “Leave folks alone.” If you’re writing laws about someone else’s anatomy, you’re not protecting anything. You’re just proving you think about genitals more than your own job.

5. The Cabinet of ‘Family Values’ That Keeps Getting Credibly Accused of Everything BUT Family Values

Every week it’s a new scandal. A new accusation. A new “misunderstanding.” My ancestors are exhausted. They need PTO. Family values? The only thing y’all value is plausible deniability.”

6. The Obsession With Policing Drag Shows

Food insecurity? Healthcare? Housing? Nope. Let’s talk about genitals again. My ancestors are throwing sweet tea at the wall. Men in wigs scare you? My mee-maw wore three wigs to church every Sunday. And our founding fathers wore wigs. Grow up.

7. The ‘Protect the Children’ Rhetoric While Ignoring Actual Threats

Men in wigs? Women in wigs? Everyone in wigs? Apparently wigs = danger. If you cared about kids, you’d fix schools. And hold the president, billionaires, and other politicians accountable for crimes against women and children. Not stalking bathrooms like a mall cop with a pelvic fixation.”

8. The Homoerotic Wrestling Events That Follow Anti-LGBTQ Speeches

They scream about anatomy while ignoring actual harm. My ancestors are filing celestial restraining orders. You can’t yell ‘traditional values’ and then host an event that looks like the opening scene of a Grindr hookup. Pick a lane.”

9. The Constant Commentary on People’s Bodies

Sweaty men rolling around in cages. Grunting. Flexing. Followed by an afterparty that mysteriously aligns with Grindr server outages. My ancestors are fanning themselves dramatically. Why do y’all talk about anatomy like it’s a weather report? ‘Today’s forecast: scattered genitals with a chance of hypocrisy.’

10. The Attempt to Regulate Genitals Instead of Governing

Every speech. Every rally. Every interview. Somehow it circles back to genitals. My ancestors are begging for silence. Fix the roads. Fix healthcare. End the “Epstein War on Iran.” Fix literally anything. Stop trying to run a country like it’s a pelvic inspection.”

As the charcoal crackles. And the ancestors lean in like they’re watching a soap opera, let us acknowledge the truth. This administration is not governing. They’re running a full‑time genital surveillance program. They legislate genitals. They comment on genitals. They grab genitals. They crash Grindr with their own genitals. They accuse others of immoral genitals. While their own are out here doing extracurricular activities that would make a church deacon faint.

Meanwhile, the American people are standing here like, “Can y’all please stop talking about crotches and start talking about the country?” But no. The obsession continues. The hypocrisy continues. The scandals continue. And the server outages? Those continue too. Charcoal smoldering. Ancestors dismissed. I delivered every comment like a Southern Beyoncé with a sociology degree and a grudge. Thanks for reading!

Affirmation: My body is not your battleground. My autonomy is not your agenda. My voice is loud. My boundaries are blessed. And my humor is lethal.
