The Great American Renaming Temper Tantrum

“Renaming the world doesn’t rewrite history. It just highlights who’s afraid of it.”

-This Puzzled Life

Light the charcoal, y’all. The ancestors are pacing the porch. The church ladies have armed themselves with holy water. And I’m over here personally apologizing to every ally nation we’ve ever had.

I’m talking to Canada, Mexico, the U.K., France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Ukraine, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Turkey, India and any other I might’ve missed. And honestly anyone else who has had to witness this administration rename the world like it’s labeling leftovers. To our allies, “I’m sorry.” Not all of America has been gaslit into believing every bizarre, ego‑inflated proclamation that comes out of this administration. Some of us still have functioning smoke detectors for nonsense. Let’s begin with the geography crimes.

The Gulf of Mexico → The Gulf of America

Mexico, I’m sorry. We didn’t approve this. We didn’t vote on this. We didn’t even get a group text.

Lake Ontario → Lake of America

Canada, bless your polite hearts. You deserved better than waking up to find your lake rebranded like a discount theme park.

Renaming the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans

The ancestors are clutching their pearls. The religious folks are sprinkling holy water on globes. The oceans themselves are filing cease‑and‑desist letters.

The Strait of Hormuz → “Trump Strait”

To our Middle Eastern allies, “I apologize on behalf of every American who still knows how maps work.”

New Mexico → New America

New Mexico, you are perfect as you are. You don’t need a rebrand. You need this administration to stop treating the U.S. map like a coloring book.

Mt. Rushmore Wants No Part of This

The mountain said “no.” The granite said “no.” The ancestors said, “absolutely not.”

Palm Beach International Airport → Donald J. Trump International Airport

To travelers everywhere: I’m sorry. I’ll walk. I’ll hitchhike. I’ll ride a goat. I’m not stepping foot in an airport renamed during a tantrum.

 The Kennedy Center Tantrum

A building honoring a president known for leadership, dignity, and actual public service. Is now being eyed for a name addition that history itself is side‑eyeing. And if not, he wants to tear it down. To the Kennedy family, to historians, to every ally who admired American cultural diplomacy, “I apologize.” Some of us still know the difference between legacy and branding.

ITEMS TRULY WORTHY OF HIS NAME

  • The Federal Complex for Misplaced Documents
  • The Museum of Executive Tantrums
  • The Center for Advanced Ego Management
  • The Department of Unfinished Promises and Overfinished Branding
  • The National Orange Alert System (for ego emergencies)

  • The Hall of “Who Approved This?” Decisions

  • The Trump–Epstein Archive of Investigative Records
  • The Federal Correctional Complex for High‑Profile Accountability

Rename your oceans. Rename your lakes. Rename your airports. Rename your socks if it helps you sleep at night. But America’s allies? We see you. We respect you. And we apologize for every moment you’ve had to witness this administration treating global geography like a personal scrapbook. History doesn’t bend for branding. Legacy isn’t built with Sharpies. And America, the real America, doesn’t confuse ego with leadership.

The ancestors have spoken. The church ladies have nodded. And the rest of us are still here. Still somewhat sane. And still refusing to call the Pacific Ocean anything but the Pacific Ocean. Thanks for reading! Keep unifying!

Affirmation: I speak truth with humor, courage, and clarity. I honor my allies, my ancestors, and my sanity by refusing to accept delusion as destiny. I stay grounded, powerful, and ungaslit.

The Wants That Wrecked a Nation

The nation’s coming undone, thread by trembling thread.

While men in red hats smirk like their shame’s a prize instead.

They pass down their entitlement like scripture marked in red.

And call it “tradition” when it’s harm they’ve always spread.

Politicians strut on stages, slick suits and practiced lies.

Hiding footprints of the women they stepped on to rise.

They call it “public service,” but we see through the disguise.

A kingdom built on silence and the pain they minimize.

They preach about morality with money in their hands.

Ignoring bruises left behind by their own cruel commands.

They wrap their greed in flags and call it “love of land.”

While expecting us to bow while they redraw what’s “unplanned.”

But deeper still, the damage grows in shadows they create.

Lives destroyed by selfish wants, not needs, but twisted fate.

The kind of hunger that takes and breaks.

That steals, then calls it “straight.”

Leaving survivors gathering pieces of a self they didn’t devastate.

And I remember every headline, every whispered, weary plea.

Every “She’s exaggerating,” every “He’s just being free.”

This has happened to many women not just 1, 2, or 3.

It did happened to them because it also happened to me.

It’s a chorus built to shield the ones with wealth and legacy.

While telling those they harmed that truth is just a luxury.

But here’s the truth they cannot hide, no matter how high they climb.

Not with money, not with office, not with power, not with time.

Not with red hats, not with lawyers, not with privilege so sublime.

It doesn’t matter your status. No still means no.

And without consent, it’s still a crime.
